Rangers overpower Athletics

Kevin Millwood gave up only one run - none earned - to get the victory, as the Texas Rangers pounded the Oakland Athletics 10-3 on Monday night.

Texas won as -125 road favorites, while the teams played OVER the 9-run total posted by sportsbooks.

David Murphy was 3-for-4 with two runs batted in for the Rangers, as Hank Blalock and Julio Borbon were both 3-for-5 with two RBIs for Texas.

Matt Carson hit a two-run dinger for Oakland, while losing pitcher Edgar Gonzalez was tagged for five earned runs over 3 1-3 innings for the Athletics.
