Red Sox crush Royals

David Ortiz homered and drove in four runs to lead the Boston Red Sox past the Kansas City Royals 9-2 Wednesday night at Kauffman Stadium.

Boston won the game as -210 favorites, while the 11 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8.5).

Jacoby Ellsbury and Jason Bay drove in a pair of runs for the Red Sox. Josh Beckett improved to 16-6 with the win, allowing two runs over six innings of work.

Luke Hochevar gave up eight hits and six runs over five innings in the loss.
