Royals avoid sweep; edge Yankees

The Kansas City Royals batted out 11 hits and went on to defeat the New York Yankees 4-3 Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium.

Kansas City won the game as +165 underdogs, while the seven runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9.5).

John Buck went 2-for-4 at the plate with a pair of RBIs for the Royals. Jamey Wright picked up the win in relief, and Joakim Soria collected his 30th save.

Derek Jeter homered for the Yankees. Damaso Marte gave up the winning run and suffered the loss.
