Twins edge Tigers in opener

Orlando Cabrera's RBI single and Delmon Young's sacrifice fly in the top of the 10th inning was the difference, as the Minnesota Twins trimmed the Detroit Tigers 3-2 in the first game of their day-night doubleheader on Tuesday.

Minnesota cashed as +110 road underdogs, while the game played UNDER the 9-run total set by oddsmakers.

Denard Span was 2-for-4 with a run batted in for the Twins, as Jon Rauch picked up the win in relief of starter Nick Blackburn for Minnesota.

Curtis Granderson went 2-for-5 with a homer for Detroit, while Brandon Lyon was tagged with the loss after allowing the go-ahead runs in the top of the 10th inning.
