Indians drop ChiSox in opener

The Cleveland Indians scored five runs off six hits as they defeated the Chicago White Sox 5-1 Wednesday in Game 1 of a doubleheader at Progressive Field.

Cleveland won the game as +105 underdogs, while the six runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9).

Travis Hafner went 2-for-3 at the plate, including a solo home run. Fausto Carmona allowed just five hits and one run over seven innings for the victory.

DeWayne Wise drove in the lone run for the White Sox. Carlos Torres surrendered six hits and five runs over six innings in the loss.
