Buehrle lifts White Sox over Marlins

Mark Buehrle tossed a three-hit shutout through eight innings as the Chicago White Sox ripped apart the Florida Marlins 8-0 Friday night in the opener of a three-game inter-league series at U.S. Cellular Field.

The White Sox won the game as -117 favorites, while the teams played UNDER the posted over/under (8) set by sportsbooks.

Mark Kotsay homered and Alexei Ramirez drove in two runs for the White Sox. Buehrle notched his third victory of the season.

Ricky Nolasco surrendered all eight runs over his 5 1-3 innings in the loss for the Marlins.
