Reds cruise past Royals

Jonny Gomes hit a pair of three-run homers to power the Cincinnati Reds to an 11-5 pounding of the Kansas City Royals Saturday night.

The Reds won the game as -172 favorites, and the 16 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (8.5) set by sportsbooks.

Johnny Cueto gave up five runs off five hits in six innings to earn the win for Cincinnati.

Brian Bannister was tagged with the loss, giving up 11 runs off 10 hits in three innings for the Royals.
