Scott Podsednik drove in three runs to help the Kansas City Royals defeat the Houston Astros 5-2 Thursday night in the rubber match at Kauffman Stadium.
The Royals won the game as a -110 pick’em, while the seven runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9) set by sportsbooks.
Victor Marte allowed just one run in win in relief for the Royals. Joakim Soria gave up a pair of runs off three hits in six innings for the win.
Brett Myers gave up seven hits and four runs over 6 2-3 innings in the loss for the Astros.
