Kotchman, Mariners down Athletics

Casey Kotchman's two-run single in the top of the ninth inning lifted the Seattle Mariners past the Oakland Athletics 5-3 on Monday night.

Seattle won as -150 road favorites, while the teams played OVER the 7-run total set by sportsbooks.

Kotchman finished 2-for-4 with four runs batted in for the Mariners, as Brandon League nabbed the win in relief of Felix Hernandez for Seattle.

Cliff Pennington was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Oakland, while Brad Ziegler was tagged with the loss after allowing the go-ahead runs in the top of the ninth.
