Twins take down Royals

Jim Thome homered and drove in three runs to lead the Minnesota Twins over the Kansas City Royals 8-3 Friday night.

Minnesota won this game as -130 favorites, while the 11 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (10).

Carl Pavano tossed seven innings for the win, giving up four hits and two runs for the Twins.

Gil Meche gave up four hits and four runs over 3 1-3 innings in the loss for the Royals.
