Hernandez, Mariners stifle Twins

Felix Hernandez allowed one run over eight innings to earn the victory, as the Seattle Mariners dropped the Minnesota Twins 4-1 on Thursday night.

Seattle won as -130 home favorites, while the game played UNDER the 7-run total listed by oddsmakers.

Jose Lopez was 2-for-4 with a three-run dinger for the Mariners, who got a run batted in from Ichiro Suzuki in the win.

Justin Morneau drove in the lone run for Minnesota, while losing pitcher Carl Pavano gave up four runs over seven innings for the Twins.
