Morneau powers Twins past Tigers

Justin Morneau homered and drove in a pair of runs as the Minnesota Twins defeated the Detroit Tigers 5-1 Wednesday afternoon in the rubber match at Target Field.

The Twins won the game as -140 favorites, but the six runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9) set by sportsbooks.

Kevin Slowey went six innings on the mound for the win, allowing four hits and one run with four strikeouts.

Andy Oliver was tagged with the loss, giving up eight hits and five runs over his six innings for the Tigers.
