Rays sweep away Red Sox
The Tampa Bay Rays jumped out to a five run lead and held on for a 6-4 win over the Boston Red Sox Wednesday night, completing a three-game sweep at Tropicana Field.
The Rays won the game as -175 favorites, while the 10 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8.5) set by sportsbooks.
Evan Longoria homered and scored twice for the Rays, while David Price pitched 7 2-3 innings with 10 strikeouts in getting the win.
Tim Wakefield gave up four hits and six earned runs over 5 2-3 innings in the Red Sox loss.
