Red Sox shut down Indians

Josh Beckett gave up one run over eight innings to earn the victory, as the Boston Red Sox downed the Cleveland Indians 3-1 on Tuesday night.

Boston cashed as -260 home favorites, while the game played UNDER the 9.5-run total set by oddsmakers.

Mike Lowell hit a two-run jack for the Red Sox, as Bill Hall was 2-for-3 with a homer for Boston.

Lou Marson went deep for Cleveland, while losing pitcher David Huff allowed three runs over 5 1-3 innings for the Indians.
