Twins split with Rays
The Minnesota Twins scored twice in the top of the ninth to defeat the Tampa Bay Rays 8-6 Thursday for a split of the four-game series at Tropicana Field.
Minnesota won the finale as +140 underdogs, while the 14 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (8.5) set by sportsbooks.
Jason Repko went 2-for-5 with a solo home run for the Twins. Matt Capps tossed just over one inning of relief to collect the win.
Joaquin Benoit gave up two runs in relief and suffered the loss for the Rays.
