Angels bury Red Sox

Hideki Matsui hit a three-run homer and drove in four runs to lead the LA Angels past the Boston Red Sox 7-2 Thursday night, avoiding a three-game sweep at Fenway Park.

The Angels won the finale as +140 underdogs, while the nine runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9.5) set by sportsbooks.

Ervin Santana improved to 13-8 with the win, allowing four hits and two earned runs over his seven innings for the Angels.

Josh Beckett was tagged with the Red Sox loss, giving up six earned runs off seven hits over 6 1-3 innings.
