White Sox hold off Orioles

Gordon Beckham hit a three-run homer and the Chicago White Sox held on for a 7-5 win over the Baltimore Orioles Tuesday night at U.S. Cellular Field.

The White Sox won the game as -167 favorites, while the 12 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8.5) set by sportsbooks.

Juan Pierre went 3-for-4 with a pair of runs batted in for the White Sox. Gavin Floyd tossed seven innings for the win, giving up seven hits and two runs.

Jeremy Guthrie was tagged with the Orioles loss, allowing 10 hits and six runs over his 6 2-3 innings.
