Holliday, Cardinals drop Diamondbacks

Matt Holliday went 3-for-5 with a three-run jack to lead the St. Louis Cardinals over the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-2 on Monday night.

St. Louis cashed as -145 road favorites, while the teams played UNDER the 10-run total listed by oddsmakers.

Colby Rasmus was 2-for-5 with a run batted in for the Cardinals, as winning pitcher Brad Penny allowed two runs over seven innings for St. Louis.

Mark Reynolds went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Arizona, while Blaine Boyer was handed the loss in relief of Rodrigo Lopez for the Diamondbacks.
