Cardinals blank Giants

Brad Penny pitched 7 2-3 shutout innings, allowing eight hits with two strikeouts Sunday to lead the St. Louis Cardinals past the San Francisco Giants 2-0.

The Cardinals were a -115 favorite in the game and the two runs scored fell UNDER the posted over/under total (7.5).

Albert Pujols was 3-4 with a solo home run for St. Louis in the win.

Matt Cain was tagged with the loss for San Francisco after allowing two runs on six hits in five innings.
