Cardinals run over Reds

The St. Louis Cardinals completed a late comeback, downing the Cincinnati Reds 6-3 at Busch Stadium Saturday afternoon.

St. Louis won as a -156 home favorite while the final score PUSHED with the 9-run total.

Albert Pujols and Matt Holliday were both walked with the bases loaded in the eighth inning while Skip Schumaker had an RBI single to pull ahead in the eighth inning. Starting pitcher Kyle Lohse went seven innings, giving up one run on five hits and striking out eight batters.

Reds reliever Mike Lincoln walked in two runs in the eighth inning while starting pitcher Homer Bailey went just under seven innings, allowing two earned runs on seven hits. Joey Votto and Scott Rolen both had an RBI in the loss.
