Pirates get even with Giants

Ryan Doumit cracked a two-run homer and drove in four runs as the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the San Francisco Giants 6-3 Saturday night and evened the series at a game apiece at PNC Park.

The Pirates won the game as -130 favorites, and the nine runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8) set by sportsbooks.

Paul Maholm allowed just two runs off six hits over 6 1-3 innings for the victory.

Todd Wellemeyer was rocked for nine hits and six runs over three innings in the loss.
