Mets blank Braves

Johan Santana pitched seven shutout innings, allowing only five hits with five strikeouts Sunday, as the New York Mets defeated the Atlanta Braves 3-0.

The Mets were a -140 favorite in the game and the three runs scored fell UNDER the posted over/under total (7).

Ike Davis was 2-3 with a solo home run for the Mets in the win.

Derek Lowe took the loss for Atlanta after allowing two runs on eight hits in 5 1-3 innings.
