Cardinals take down Reds

Skip Schumaker went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in the St. Louis Cardinals' 7-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Monday night.

St. Louis cashed as -145 road favorites, while the teams played OVER the 7.5-run total set by sportsbooks.

Albert Pujols and Matt Holliday were both 2-for-4 with a run batted in for the Cardinals, as Chris Carpenter allowed two runs over seven innings to get the victory for St. Louis.

Ramon Hernandez was 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs for Cincinnati, while Mike Leake was rocked for six earned runs over 3 2-3 innings to take the loss for the Reds.
