Bruce powers Reds over Marlins

Jay Bruce homered and drove in three runs as the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Florida Marlins 7-2 Friday night.

The Reds won the game as +122 underdogs, while the nine runs made it OVER the posted over/under (7.5) set by sportsbooks.

Edinson Volquez gave up eight hits and one earned run with six strikeouts over six innings in the Reds victory.

Josh Johnson lasted just 3 2-3 innings for the Marlins, allowing 10 hits and six runs in the loss.
