Nick Evans pinch-hit single in the seventh lifted the New York Mets to a 3-2 win over the Washington Nationals Wednesday afternoon in the series rubber match at Nationals Park.
The Mets won the finale as a -110 pick'em, while the five runs went UNDER the posted over/under (8) set by sportsbooks.
R.A. Dickey improved to 10-6 with the victory, and Hisanori Takahashi tossed a scoreless ninth for his fifth save.
Wilson Ramos belted a two-run homer to drive in both runs for the Nationals. Livan Hernandez gave up three runs off six hits in 6 1-3 innings in the loss.
