The Padres won the game as -115 favorites, and the 12 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9) set by sportsbooks.
Matt Stairs launched a pinch-hit home run for the Padres, and Mike Adams improved to 4-1 with the win in relief.
Kyle McClellan gave up four runs in relief and was saddled with the Cardinals loss.
