Pirates top Cardinals

Paul Maholm gave up two runs over seven innings to earn the victory in the Pittsburgh Pirates' 5-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday night.

Pittsburgh cashed as +125 home underdogs, while the teams played UNDER the 8.5-run total listed by sportsbooks.

Jose Tabata was 2-for-4 with two runs batted in for the Pirates, who got RBIs from Ryan Doumit, Pedro Alvarez, and John Bowker in the win.

Albert Pujols went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for St. Louis, while Jake Westbrook was tagged for five runs over four innings to take the loss for the Cardinals.
