Texas cashed as -120 road favorites, while the teams played OVER the 7.5-run total set by oddsmakers.
Josh Hamilton was 2-for-5 with a two-run homer for the Rangers, who now lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.
Andy Pettitte allowed two runs over seven innings to take the loss for New York, which managed only two hits on the night.
