Giants shut down Rangers

Edgar Renteria homered and drove in three runs on Thursday as the San Francisco Giants beat the Texas Rangers 9-0 and now lead the best-of-seven series 2-0.

The nine runs made it OVER the posted over/under (7) set by sportsbooks.

Juan Uribe and Aaron Rowand each drove in a pair of runs for the Giants. Matt Cain allowed just four hits over 7 2-3 scoreless innings for the Game 2 victory.

C.J. Wilson gave up three hits and a pair of runs over six innings in the loss for Texas.
