Celtics stomp Hornets

Paul Pierce scored a game-high 27 points Sunday, as the Boston Celtics defeated the New Orleans Hornets 97-87.

The Celtics were an 11-poinnt favorite in the game, but were unable to cover the spread. The combined score fell UNDER the posted over/under total (185.5).

Ray Allen added 17 points for Boston and Kevin Garnett chipped in with 14 points and seven rebounds.

Peja Stojakovic led the Hornets with 26 points, while Chris Paul had 22 points and eight assists.
