Harrison runs over Idaho in season opener

Jerome Harrison ran for 165 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries to lead the Washington State Cougars to a 38-26 win against the Idaho Vandals on Thursday.

The Cougars were favored by 29 points at home but came up well short on covering the spread. The combined score went OVER the posted total (60.5).

Alex Brink went 17-for-29 for 230 yards and three touchdowns for the Cougars, while Jason Hill caught five passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns.

Steven Wichman completed 13 of 23 passes for 145 yards and a touchdown in the loss for the Vandals.
