Oklahoma State Defeats Troy 41-38 - Recap
Brandon Weeden was good for 348 yards through the air on Saturday as the Cowboys got past the Trojans by a score of 41-38 at Boone Pickens Stadium.
Oklahoma State did not, however, defeat the Trojans against the spread, which closed at 13.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 63.5.
Kendall Hunter rushed for 157 yards, while Justin Blackmon added 23 yards in the win. Justin Blackmon and Josh Cooper added 132 and 114 receiving yards respectively.
DuJuan Harris rushed for 40 yards for Troy, while Shawn Southward added 36 yards. Corey Robinson threw for 272 yards for the Trojans, while receivers Jerrel Jernigan and Jason Bruce had 87 and 82 yards respectively.
Troy lost the offensive yardage battle to Oklahoma State 522-371 yards in Saturday's game. Oklahoma State had more first downs as that total ended up 24-22.
Oklahoma State lost the time of possession battle 32:10/27:50, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Oklahoma State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Tulsa. Troy will aim to get back on the winning track at UAB.
