J.R. Smith dropped a game-high 41 points to lead the Denver Nuggets over the Atlanta Hawks 124-104 Wednesday night at the Pepsi Center.
Denver covered the 3.5-point spread, while the 228 points sailed OVER the posted total of 207.5.
Carmelo Anthony scored 24 points and grabbed six rebounds, while Ty Lawson had 16 for the Nuggets.
Al Horford had 18 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double for the Hawks, and Jamal Crawford netted 24 points in the loss.
