Brooks, Rockets edge Nuggets

Aaron Brooks went for 31 points and nine assists to lift the Houston Rockets past the Denver Nuggets 125-123 on Monday night.

Houston cashed as 2.5-point home underdogs, while the game played OVER the 216-point total posted by oddsmakers.

Kevin Martin had 27 points and seven rebounds for the Rockets, who got 23 points and 11 boards from Luis Scola in the win.

Carmelo Anthony poured in 45 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Denver, while Chauncey Billups and J.R. Smith scored 17 points apiece for the Nuggets.
