Seminoles edge Hurricanes
The No. 11 ranked Florida State Seminoles defeated the No. 12 ranked Miami Hurricanes 13-10 Monday night in the season opener.
Miami failed to covered the 3.5-point spread in the loss at home, while the final score fell UNDER the posted total (40).
Joe Surrat rushed for three yards off three carries, scoring one touchdown as the Seminoles erased a seven-point deficit to earn the victory. Gary Cismesia kicked the winning field goal from 33-yards out.
Charlie Jones rushed for 29 yards off 13 carries, while running in for a score. Kyle Wright threw on interception in the loss, completing 18-of-27 and gained just 132 yards.
