Florida State beats Wisconsin in Champs Bowl
The Florida State Seminoles recovered two fumbles for scores en route to a 42-13 win over the Wisconsin Badgers in the Champs Sports Bowl at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.
Florida State covered as a 7-point favorite while the final score played over the total of 51 points.
Derek Nicholson and Dekoda Watson both scooped up turnovers and turned them into touchdowns for the Noles. Quarterback Christian Ponder passed for over 200 yards and two scores. Running backs Carlton Jones and Antone Smith each added touchdowns on the ground.
Wisconsin quarterback Dustin Sherer was limited to just one touchdown pass on 132 yards passing. Badgers running back P.J. Hill rushed for over 140 yards but could not find the endzone and drop one of the two fumbles.
