Boris Diaw had 19 points for Charlotte and D.J. Augustin chipped in with 17 points. D.J. Augustin had 10 assists for the Bobcats, while Gerald Wallace was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 14 boards.
Washington got 22 points from Andray Blatche in a losing cause and another 14 points from Kirk Hinrich. John Wall contributed 11 assists for the Wizards, while Andray Blatche had 9 rebounds.
Charlotte trailed at halftime, 43-42.
The rebound battle favored Charlotte as they grabbed 48 boards, while Washington only had 30.
