Portland got 24 points and 10 rebounds from LaMarcus Aldridge en route to an 86-83 victory over Denver on Thursday at Rose Garden.
The Trail Blazers were a 2.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 205.5.
Portland got 20 points from Wesley Matthews and another 16 points from Andre Miller. Andre Miller contributed 6 assists, while Marcus Camby cleaned the glass with 14 rebounds.
Denver got 18 points from Carmelo Anthony in a losing cause and another 17 points from Al Harrington. Chauncey Billups contributed 5 assists for the Nuggets, while Arron Afflalo had 11 rebounds.
The Trail Blazers hit the break trailing 45-43 before taking care of business in the second half.
Portland won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 48-35.
Next game, Portland takes its act home to face Utah looking for another win. For Denver, they head home to face New Jersey.
