David West poured in 34 points for New Orleans on Friday, as they defeated Cleveland 108-101 at New Orleans Arena.
New Orleans did not, however, defeat the Cavaliers against the spread, which closed at 9 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 193.5.
New Orleans got 20 points from Marco Belinelli and another 15 points from Chris Paul. Chris Paul contributed 10 assists, while David West cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Cleveland got 20 points from Antawn Jamison in a losing cause and another 16 points from Ramon Sessions. Ramon Sessions contributed 5 assists for the Cavaliers, while Anderson Varejao had 13 rebounds.
New Orleans led at halftime, 62-43.
Cleveland had a 53-43 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
New Orleans looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Kings. The Cavaliers will aim to get back on the winning track at San Antonio.
