Steve Slaton ran for 185 yards and a touchdown as the No.4 West Virginia Mountaineers hammered Mississippi State 42-14 at Scott Field on Saturday.

The Mountaineers managed to cover the 21-point spread on the road, and the 56 points scored were OVER the posted total of 48.

Pat White was 6-for-9 for 92 yards, and ran for 76 yards and two scores. Owen Schmitt had 28 rushing yards and two majors for the Mountaineers.

Omarr Conner went 10-for-19 for 135 yards and a touchdown, and Tony Burks had four catches for 118 yards for the Bulldogs.
