Smith dazzles as Ohio State dominates
Troy Smith threw for 298 yards and three touchdowns as the top-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes routed the Northern Illinois Huskies 35-12 at Ohio Stadium on Saturday.
Ohio State managed to cover the 17.5-point spread, and the 47 combined points was just UNDER the posted total of 50.
Antonio Pittman gained 110 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown, while Ted Ginn, Jr. had four catches for 123 yards and two scores for the Buckeyes.
Phil Horvath was 15-of-26 for 186 yards, one touchdown and one pick in a losing cause, while Garrett Wolfe had 172 yards on the ground, and 115 yards through the air for the Huskies.
