Kevin Martin went off for 34 points and added 6 rebounds leading Houston to a 103-87 win over Memphis on Friday at Toyota Center.
The Rockets were a 2.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 206.5.
Houston got 23 points from Luis Scola and another 17 points from Shane Battier. Kyle Lowry contributed 18 assists, while Shane Battier cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Memphis got 19 points from Rudy Gay in a losing cause and another 19 points from Sam Young. Rudy Gay contributed 3 assists for the Grizzlies, while Zach Randolph had 9 rebounds.
The Rockets hit the break leading 61-33 before taking care of business in the second half.
Houston won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 47-36.
Houston looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Kings. The Grizzlies will aim to get back on the winning track at San Antonio.
