No.24 Oregon State were 14 points doing with 12:08 to play, but a two-point conversion gave the Beavers a 39-38 win over the stunned Missouri Tigers in the Sun Bowl, at the stadium of the same name, on Friday.
The Beavers could not cover the 3.5-point spread as the home team, and the 77 points scored were OVER the posted total of 53.
Matt Moore led the way by going 31-for-54 for 357 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception, while Sammie Stroughter had eight receptions for 88 yards and a major for the Beavers.
Chase Daniel did his best, going 15-for-28 for 314 yards and two touchdowns, and Tony Temple had a big day on the ground with 20 carries for 195 yards and two scores for the Tigers.
