Jason Reda kicked a 39-yard field goal with six seconds remaining to give Illinois their first conference win in two years, a 23-20 upset of Michigan State at Spartan Stadium.
The Illini were 24-point underdogs to win on the road, and the 43 points scored was UNDER the posted total of 54.
Juice Williams was 9-for-16 for 122 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, and Pierre Thomas Jr. had 18 carries for 110 yards for the Illini.
Drew Stanton went 15-for-24 for 144 yards, and Jehuu Caulcrick had 35 yards on 13 carries for a touchdown for the Spartans.
