Dallas did not, however, defeat the Rockets against the spread, which closed at 6.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 204.5.
Dallas got 19 points from Jose Juan Barea and another 18 points from Dirk Nowitzki. Jason Kidd contributed 10 assists, while Tyson Chandler cleaned the glass with 15 rebounds.
The Rockets got a 30-point performance from Luis Scola, who was supported by 27 points from Kevin Martin. Kyle Lowry had 5 assists in a losing cause for Houston, while Chuck Hayes grabbed 8 rebounds.
Dallas led at halftime, 64-47.
Houston won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 42-40.
Dallas looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Hawks. The Rockets will aim to get back on the winning track at San Antonio.
