Austin Daye had 18 points for Detroit and Ben Gordon chipped in with 17 points. Rodney Stuckey had 8 assists for the Pistons, while Greg Monroe was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 16 boards.
Utah got 23 points from Paul Millsap in a losing cause and another 21 points from Andrei Kirilenko. Devin Harris contributed 12 assists for the Jazz, while Paul Millsap had 11 rebounds.
Detroit led at halftime, 58-53.
The rebound battle favored Detroit as they grabbed 41 boards, while Utah only had 39.
Detroit looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Bucks. The Jazz will aim to get back on the winning track vs Boston.
