Central Michigan allowed only 234 yards and forced three turnovers in a 31-7 win over state rivals Western Michigan at Kelly/Shorts Stadium on Friday.

The Chippewas covered the 5.5-point spread at home, but the 39 points scored were UNDER the posted total of 47.

Dan LeFevour was 17-for-27 for 163 yards, one touchdown, and one pick, while Marcel Archer ran 14 times for 70 yards and three scores for the Chippewas.

Ryan Cubit endured a miserable night, going 13-for-23 for only 59 yards, one score, and one interception, and Brandon West had 22 carries for 117 yards for the Broncos.
