The Celtics got a 22-point performance from Paul Pierce, who was supported by 14 points from Ray Allen. Rajon Rondo had 11 assists in a losing cause for Boston, while Rajon Rondo grabbed 11 rebounds.
Memphis trailed at halftime, 45-44.
The rebound battle favored Memphis as they grabbed 43 boards, while Boston only had 37.
