Bulls squeak past Golden Flashes to earn first victory
Jared Patterson scored on a 4-yard run early in the third quarter to give the Buffalo Bulls their first win of the season and a 10-6 win over the Kent State Golden Flashes on Saturday.
The Bulls won this game as 7-point underdogs on the road, and the game’s 16 points fell well UNDER the posted total (43.5).
Patterson finished the game with 37 yards rushing on eight carries, and quarterback Drew Willy completed 16-of-22 passes for 97 yards in the victory.
Travis Mayle kicked two field goals to give Kent State all their offence on the day, and Michael Machen threw for 129 yards, and was picked off twice in the loss.
