Kent State overcomes offensive inefficiency
Despite going only 1-for-12 on third down, the Kent State Golden Flashes used five forced turnovers to drop the Eastern Michigan Eagles 14-6 at Dix Stadium on Friday.
The Golden Flashes were 4-point underdogs at home, and the 20 points scored were UNDER the posted total of 40.
Julian Edelman was 9-for-17 for 167 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, while Eugene Jarvis led the way with 166 yards on 34 carries for the Golden Flashes.
Andy Schmitt had a miserable game, going 11-for-22 for 109 yards and two of the Eagles' four picks. Eric Deslauriers had seven catches for 116 yards for the Eagles.
